Hi,
I getting interested in air gun again, shot them as a youth and now entering my 50s and looking to shoot them and modding them as a pastime.
I got my PAL but I'm no expert, want to gain more knowledge in them and eventually get into modding, I think this would be a great place to start.

Love to read so any recommendations on books about airgun, airgun repair/modding and marksmanship would be appreciated.

Cheers!

Welcome. I’m in Southeastern NB. Are you in the North or South of NB?

Hi Hunter34, I'm in the Fredericton area.

Are their many air gunners in NB? What type of gun do you prefer, pistol, rifle, replica?

There’s a few airgun enthusiasts in NB. Nova Scotia seems to have a few more people interested in airgunning.
I started out with a few different break barrel pellet guns but quickly progressed to PCP guns which are easier on scopes and get better accuracy at longer ranges. I also have gotten an M4 airsoft BB gun for my young daughters to start their shooting fun. We also are into A bit of archery. I started making a couple PVC pipe bows forest to no $$$ and enjoyed it so bought a few somewhat cheap fibreglass bows. Also recently got a hunting slingshot which is fun.

Any info you can find on this forum and a few other forums by RSterne is probably some of the best learning/modding info you’ll come across. He’s done a ton of modding, research and writing about it all on a few different platforms!
I followed his Hatsan AT44 mods he wrote about for my 2 Hatsan AT44’s.

Thanks Hunter34

Cool I do have a few slingshot myself from Simple Shot but haven't shot in a couple of years. I just got into archery also since last fall, purchased the PSE Nighthawk and an Olympic recurve bow, been shooting at our local club (Atlantic Archery Center) but haven't gone since December because of the pandemic.

Thinking of getting a hunting bow also to hunt deer but can't seem to find a hunting course to get my bow license, I also need to eventually find someone to teach me about deer hunting in particular. The seasons over so hopefully by next season I'll be ready.

Cheers
