I found this to be quite a fair video on the subject.

Yep~ that's a good read. The guy's ideas and words, conclusions... are quite fair and useful ~ I found my own route which is different choices to what he listed tho~ :)

I was referring to the video, Hunting With Spring Piston Air Rifles, not the "text".
I copy pasted the url.

Anyone else watch the video?
At 1:50 he cocks a side lever gun, takes a pellet out of his mouth and loads it without holding the lever back.

I certainly used to carry my pellets in my mouth when I was a kid, but have not seen anyone do that in a while.

A minute or two later in the video he advises that when loading a break barrel you hold the barrel to avoid pinching your fingers.

I did not have time to watch more but found these two points worth a grin.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Interesting video indeed! Though I don't hunt (yet), this is a well-made and pretty educative viewing I'm glad I saw. Good knowledge to learn IMHO.

And I agree on his five best reasons :) . Love them springers!

I also noted he only rarely held the barrel while loading the pellet as well. 'I seen it right off,'.
