Can't call it a 2240 or a 1377... And this one isn't really new to me... I had the cylinder and valve already, and the offset valve adapter. Allows me to fit a 1-1/4" tube to a 1377 valve.

The customized steel crosman breech (1322 I'm guessing) is not my creation. I think it was a spoon bolt setup but is now bolt action. 90 degree throw just like an old mosin nagant with the bolt handle straight vertical. I found the bolt handle was shaped just perfectly to 'hand size' the pellet skirt, if the need were to rise. I was shooting some gamo pellets today and some were mangled. Bolt handle worked great.

I'm using an evanix or Kral barrel, in .22 cal. Not sure how to tell the difference, but the rifling seems very sharp and defined. Its choked also. 17" long, kept the OEM bolt probe seal and transfer port intact, just turned it down to 7/16" to fit the breech and the barrel clamp/band. I ended up doing the same thing to the muzzle, to fit my barrel band, and extended it with my super duper air stripper brakeifier. No evidence of clipping anyway, she shot a half inch group at 25 yards today, with crow magnums, surprisingly enough.

The rear sight is from a qb78, and yes it's way too close to my face .. but the plan is to drill the blade out and install a peep. I only get one shot at it so I need to be careful

Still love the old crosman rear cocker. Although everything there is slotted to accept the newer hammer with the cocking pin.
I get no bounce with it as is, so it's good. I can adjust power by restricting transfer port diameter... But I probably won't...

Its Starling season at the farm... So I gotta polish that craptastic trigger tonight.

I am wondering the shot count as the cylinder looks over sized~
Love this bad girl~

Ah yes, shot count. Well I can't say for certain as it is now. I'll have to do a shot string, I'm curious to see where the peak of the bell is now.

At one time I had this same basic setup, with a long .177 barrel, and before I added a small weight to the hammer (7 grams iirc), I was getting 80 shots. Fill to 2500psi and shoot down to 1400. The sweet spot was 1800-1600 ish.

Now with the caliber swap and heavier hammer, I need to do it again. I put about 30 rounds through it yesterday, starting at 2200 psi and ending at 1800. That doesn't say a lot... But the gun is super quiet, especially for such a short barrel.

I will add ... This cylinder is good for 4 shots from my .357 PCP.
But that is another story.

Looking like a tough spring to be a starling. I'm sure those crow mags will get the job done with a satisfying thwack.

Finally blooded the little Lego carbine today.
Some tricky shots, 50 yards offhand, got 3 starlings. The gun handles like a dream, for what it is. Hits what I point it at, good enough for me

They're pretty smart critters and hard to see when they aren't moving. 50 yards is about as close as I can get.

Sure would be nice to mount a scope somehow... My hit average would likely improve quite a bit

IIRC, it has a QB79 breech which is grooved with dovetail, and there is a rear sight mounted in what looks like the QB dovetail, so mounting a scope should be easy peasy. maybe get one of them there compact scopes.

Its actually an old crosman spoon bolt breech, modified to use a regular style bolt. I put an extension off the back of it to mount a qb rear sight. No dovetail anywhere. Thinking it would be easier to just build a peep for it...
