Sounds very good. What pellet were you using?
Mine shoots best with 15.89gr. Hades pellets as well as the heavy H&N's at over 18 to 21.3gr.
The bottom left target (.256" C to C) was shot resting the end of the forend on the front bag
& shot with no rear bag with the Hades pellets. When double rested or rested anywhere else,
the gun did not shoot as well. Experimentation is always needed.

That make and brand of pellet shoots well in my PCP .22 handguns as well as the Artemis M11 in .25 cal.
It was also the best in my .22 HW98.

Nothing to sneeze at there. After some more shooting, it should get better,
if possible.
Gotta love those Weihrauch's.

Those groups are good.

I own an HW97 in .22 as well. Only had it out once to test loads and break it in. So far it liked the H&N FTT in 14.66 and did a 10 shot in ~ 1" at 27 yards (unsorted pellets). However, I only tested four uncommon pellets a friend loaned me.

My velocity was lower then expected due to our elevation here in Cgy. The 14.66 FTT was 644 fps. As such, I would think the Hades are likely all under 600 FPS.
Hades are on my to test list once I get a few more rounds through the gun.

As the spring settles in you should gain more consistency... so yes it should get better.

This HW 97 I can honesty say shoots better than my skill as a shooter
It is able to but pellet on pellet at 30 yds and every time it doesn't , shot goes off when I am off point of aim It is just nuts how good this thing shoots
I am going to have to get a rear bag to really check this thing out.
My AA S 510 has nothing over this HW 97 K except it is easier to shoot
and PCP has the edge at 40 to 50 yds as it shoots 200 FPS faster
If I do my part it shoots every bit as good as my PCP from 30 yds in.

I found my .22 HW97 shoots better without the rear bag, but it depends on you and the rifle.
Yours could very well prefer that manner/method of shooting.

Mine went .256" for 5 at 32.8 yards without the bag and .950" with the rear bag, same end of forend resting on the front bag.
.95" isn't bad, but it's not as good as .256".
