So I got a AV 3000PSI 13ci Tank & valve 1100psi set output pressure. I also got the coiled line to connect it to a gun. I pumped the tank up to 3000psi, screwed on the coiled line and fitted a plug to the end of the line. I then opened the outlet valve and pressurized the line to (I assume) 1100psi to check for leaks... this was the screw up. I didn't notice there is no bleed screw with this setup and now I can't figure out how to safely let the 1100psi out of the line to get the plug from the end. Any suggestions that will not result in my injury or damage to property? Thanks and yes I'm an idiot.

He he... it happens. I did a similar thing, although I did have a safe rout out I opted for the dangerous route.

So, is it safe to jump out of an airplane?
Is it safe to just unscrew the end plug and slowly vent your coil line? I would do it.. you may not. Here is what I'd do: Turn off the HPA output so no more air can flow into the coil. Clamp the end of the coil in a vice, pointing away from you. Crack the plug open just enough to hear the air hissing out. Done. Even if the plug flies it wont hit you and if you put a pellet trap or something at the muzzle end it will capture the plug. But the likely outcome is it will hiss for 10s and then you can unscrew it fully and never do that again.

I was thinking of something along those lines, the end of the line is now in the vise while air very slowly escapes from the partly unscrewed fitting. Might take a while but I don't want to go to far and shoot the plug off. I have tied a towel to the plug to act as a parachute if it does fly off.

A while later and the air has bled off and the plug has safely been removed. Thank you.

Apparently I needed a "slide check valve", picked one up today and I can now safely attach and remove the line to things without de-gassing the whole line.

Live and learn, at least that's what I used to do. Now it's live, learned, forgot, re-learn. :drinkers:
