The first Field Target match of the season at the Port Colborne & District Conservation Club will be held on Saturday, May 28.

Hi everyone, I have taken on the role of Match Director from Zach Harde. I thoroughly enjoyed the matches that I participated in last year at PCDCC and I look forward to another great season.

Since I am new to the role of Match Director, I will be borrowing heavily from others so some of this note might look familiar!

Match Details:

• This will be a 60 shot match with 1 standing and one kneeling lane.
• Gates will open around 8:30 am. Please try to come out early to help set up
• Sight-in range should be available by 9:30 AM
• Shooter's meeting will be held at 10:00 AM
• Match starts at 10:15 AM
• Match fee is $20
• All field target classes will be offered

Bring boots – it may be wet and muddy!

FT Class Overview:

Great announcement.. Thanks for taking over as MD at Port. It is certainly a premium facility with an awesome course set in the woods.

I will get down there for a match this season, not this one, but hopefully in June. Still feel very much at home in Port.

Thanks Mac.
I fell in love with the woods course at Port Colborne the first time I was there. For anyone that has not experienced it, I welcome you to come out.
So much of my shooting is otherwise done in a traditional rifle range and I really like the opportunity to shoot in a more natural setting.

I look forward to seeing everyone there.

May 28 Port Colborne Field Target match

A big Thank You to Dennis and Lanny for going to the club on the long weekend and doing a bunch of work to ensure that everything is ready to go for the May 28 match!  Thank you both for making this match happen.

I am still in the process of learning what we have and what we need at the club so please let me know if you are coming out and if you have any targets for the lanes that you can bring and if you can set up a lane.  I would rather have a few extra than have not enough.  If you can help set up and tear down that would be great.  Some lanes are a bit wet so bring your boots!  Bug spray is always a good idea.

Safety and fun are our priorities – eye protection is mandatory, ear protection optional.

If you have not already sent me a note to let me know that you will be attending, please do so.

Thanks,
Rob Wright
