The label on the filter says "Tuxing", but that could, of course be counterfeit....

In the vid you posted Bob, the guy clearly showed the difference between two that start to look alike until you really look. The one that blue out was clearly a bad deal , not enought threads. And probally way cheaper. That alone will lure a lot of newbs into some bad deals. By the way , that was a great find on your part.Very enlightening.If perfect threading could be had , it might not have happened like some have said ,but hen along comes a shallow one and, look out.

The one that blew, not only was very short compared to it's length, but it's male threads did not have sufficient "purchase" or "bearing surface contact" in the tank's female threads.
That alone is likely why they 'blew'.

Opps - meant to type, short threaded compared to it's diameter. The thread length should be as long as the diameter, is the general rule, seems to me.

i wonder if the compressor was dissasembled and reassembled somtimes its just better to leave them alone....i know alot of people like taking there yong hengs apart for what ever reason....

got mine 2 years ago and still runs flawlessly.....havnt even tightended a screw....

only thing i ever had to replace was a simple burst disk....

crazy to see one of them like that....

i know alot of the clones or knockoffs arnt built the same

It was the aftermarket air filter that failed. Not the compressor.

The broken casting is paper thin but, at the same time any part of your body were hit. You'd be really hurtin.
