Some of it will be OIC, most of it has to be tabled in the house. They go for vacation soon, so I doubt it will even get passed until the fall.

A few of those facts I was not aware of.

I found this video somewhat amusing, but I think that this message is actually harmful to the cause of maintaining lawful gun ownership in Canada. Our laws do not allow the use of a gun to defend yourself or your property. The otherwise law abiding gun owner who uses a gun for self defense will quickly find themselves facing more serious jail time than their attacker.

When someone talks about using guns to defend themselves against "the government" my first thought is that they are a dangerous nut job who likely should not be allowed to own a gun, or anything pointy!
I own guns because I enjoy target shooting. I used to hunt and enjoyed that. I used to live in a farming community where guns were important tools. I think that these are all valid reasons for legal gun ownership, I do not think that "protecting yourself from a tyrannical government" is a valid reason and it makes us sound like nuts.

"protecting yourself from a tyrannical government" was the primary reason for the second amendment of the US constitution.

This is a link to which parts are decided by Parliament (Royal Assent) and which by OIC.

https://calibremag.ca/the-new-gun-bill- ... d-to-know/

Notice the last one. This 'change' is to eliminate any recourse or challenge of license "cancelling" or "revocation", as now provided
by the current laws. Currently, there are a number of court cases, country wide concerning the 'cancellation' of people's permits.
The government is attempting to eliminate any recourse. They have further plans, obviously.

And What Does That Mean?

The regulations will either:

Come into force 30 sitting days from May 30th, 2022 (likely the “Fall 2022” date from Public Safety), OR
As soon as they are passed in the House of Commons and the Senate.

Clear as mud, right?

The House will pass these regulations ASAP as the NDP is committed to voting with the Liberals until the next legislated election.

The Senate will likely pass these regulations quickly as well, given Liberals control the upper chamber.

Indeed, Second Reading of Bill C-21 is happening in the House of Commons today at approximately 12:15 p.m. You can watch the debate live HERE.

The regulations could pass the House and Senate as early as next week. While this seems unlikely, the Liberals will happily stoop to a new low if it will get them their way.

This would also explain why the RCMP Canadian Firearms Program shut down access to PAL verifications and firearm transfers on Monday. They needed to ensure the system could be stopped at a moment’s notice.

Alberta Chief Firearms Officer Teri Bryant refuted these latest Liberal Lies.[iii]

Bryant said public safety would be far better served if greater attention was paid to tracking people who have firearms prohibition orders against them.

"Often these people already have numerous firearms prohibition orders against them, and yet they still are able to go out and track down and obtain firearms," Bryant said.

"We need to be tracking these people and keeping better tabs on them because these are really high-risk offenders. The problem with this package of measures is it targets the people who are at the lowest risk of offending."

As of yesterday, media outlets have reported that 337 repeat offenders, all arrested for committing other serious crimes, were also charged with 779 counts of breaching Firearm Prohibition Orders, yet Liberal Public Safety Minister Marco Mendicino refuses to lift a finger to fix Canada’s broken Firearm Prohibition Order System to address this serious public safety issue.[iv]

Anything you or I put on the internet is monitored always has been, private or not it’s stored somewhere ie. media leaks think about it
The only way not to be monitored is old school write a letter on paper and snail mail it

Anything on the net, is open for viewing. All forums are monitored. Words like politicians names. guns, firearms, rifles, pistols, etc, trip algorithms and flash up on government "screens".
I watched an interview many years ago, reporter with FBI in Langley or some other office, standing out side a large room with dozens of desks and every one had an occupant and computer
screen. The 'agent' noted that everyone was "viewing content" flagged by key words.
So - yes, everything is monitored. All the social media platforms give access to government(s), whether face book, twitter, snap chat, etc.
Try googling someone's name - your name and see what comes up.

Well if everything is monitored, and they actually are doing their jobs, why aren't all school shooters caught before the act?.... Seems almost all of them have a "manifesto", or at least an "online rant" that should have been detected, and actioned....
