Like dreaming, expectations are free and they're entitled to have all they want but, expectations are more often than not followed by disappointment.

Under threat of violence of course. Surrender them or be swatted and arrested.

Conservatives Dane Lloyd and Glen Motz ask federally appointed council about the Canadian Bill of Rights in relation to the unprecedented move of Canadian government to ban citizens privately and legally owned semi-automatic hunting rifles and shotguns.

"The Canadian Bill of Rights applies to federal legislation, and once federal legislation has been passed, that authorizes, or permits...property rights are subsumed (absorbed) by the federal legislation. Then, following that passage of legislation, which could (or would) prohibit future firearms. Anything that follows that is done as a policy decision made by the government." - Paula Clarke

Sask. has their won rules now on this "confiscation" to the point that reimbursement must be at fair market value or not deal.
Also, the CFO or Police are NOT doing any confiscation. At least, that is how I read this press release.

as well:

“Seizure agent”, subject to subsection (2), means a person who is engaged by the Crown in right of Canada, whether as an employee, agent or otherwise, to carry out any of the following for the purposes of enforcing a specified law:

(a) the tracking of restricted firearms or prohibited firearms;

(b) the seizure and collection of restricted firearms and prohibited firearms;

(c) the storage of restricted firearms and prohibited firearms;

(d) the destruction or deactivation of restricted firearms and prohibited firearms.

The following persons are not seizure agents for the purposes of Part 4:

(a) the chief firearms officer;

(b) any firearms officer;

(c) the commissioner;

(d) any officers or constables of any police service, including the Royal Canadian Mounted Police; and

(e) any prescribed person or class of persons.

Everything will eventually be banned. I imagine in 100 years there will not even be any cap guns, nerf guns, water guns, and a lot of tools will have new names - no more caulking guns, staple guns, etc. By then they will probably have moved on to something else, like knives. Eventually you'll need a permit to buy a screwdriver or bic lighter. There's no end to this sterilization of society.

It's actually the destruction of democracy. In BC our rights regarding the condos we bought are be changed to accomodate those who can't afford a home. And BC has not even hinted at opposition to the firearm legislation.

Different political party.
Alberta, Sask, Manitoba and New Brunswick have told the Fed. Gvt. to pound sand.

Interesting goal, however, time will tell.

Statement by Mike Huckabee in the States::

:"I just keep asking why the people who seem to know the least about guns think they’re qualified to make laws regulating guns? Do we let building code regulations be written by people who know nothing about construction? Yet we let gun laws be written by people who want to limit the "number of bullets in a cartridge." Biden called this "common sense," and the crowd applauded it".

Well, it looks similar to an AR-15, so that's good enough for them.
