Hey all,

I have a Diana T05 and since i got this rifle used ive never been able to fire it.
It's like the gun doesn't click to lock up.
I just took the trigger apart and nothing looks broken.
Any suggestions on how to fix it?

Tks

The T05 is pretty strightforward. What rifle is it on?
I had a 24 with a T05 and my various Air Hawks had a T05 clone.
One thing that could be hanging things up is if the latch rod isn't going far enough into the trigger group. Could be coil bind or overshimmed main spring. Try manually inserting the piston latch rod into the trigger group (no main spring of course) and see if the sear will catch. If it does, then look to see of there is coil bind or obstruction and go from there.

I have a Chinese copy of the 350, the xs28. It is essentially the same gun. I did a lot of mods to it, one of which was to lengthen the piston stroke. In doing so, I shortened the latch rod. Now the gun doesn't cock on its own. The trigger doesn't close on the rod properly. What I found works, is when I cock the gun, I give the trigger a light pull and it clicks. It works fine for me, I just wouldn't hand it to someone else and tell them to shoot it.

Almost sounds like there is an obstruction, not allowing the rod to engage the sear plates. It's also very easy to get those plates flipped around the wrong way, preventing it from working. They can be upside down, or facing the wrong way. They only work if assembled properly. Off the top of my head I can't tell you what way they go, but I know there is some limited information out there specifying which way they go. They have a beveled edge on one side, and a sharp edge opposite. Now I think the sharp edges are to slide against eachother... Don't quote me on that, it has been a while. Something to look at though. Good luck.

Hey Tks for the information from what I see those plates have a flat side so I would imagine they fit together on the fat side leaving the curved side for the pivot to go in. I haven’t had a chance to work on it again but when I just have the plates and the little part with the spring in the gun it works fine but when I put the rest it won’t engage anymore. Any thoughts?

Hey just curious should I be using oil or grease when putting the trigger back together?

Hey :)

Being that I'm into Diana airguns these days, I took my beloved D24C apart to gather some tech datas. Also the best opportunity to see the OEM arrangement of the T05 trigger parts. Before you send your trigger unit out, why not review a few things? :)

The rounded edge on the two sliding plates faces rearward on my own rifle, and it works flawlessly. Same for my Blackhawk.

What I haven't seen mentionned here is that you must ''reset'' the trigger for it to latch when cocking. You just pull the trigger when it's all back together, preferably with the plastic sleeve installed, just before installing in the gun. Doing so you should hear an audible click. Resetting the trigger also facilitate the cross pins installation.

If you haven't already, try to re-assemble your trigger pack this way, and please let us know how it turns out.

Francois
