That would be great, Doc. What I meant, was that there was no testing listed past 1937.
All ammunition companies test their ammunition or have it tested.

The factory records situation with Winchester is far better than it was for Marlin- who lost a great deal of their historic data to a fire.

I am going to have to dig and get back into where I found that 1/2" reference.
It is highly unlikely that the factory stopped testing in 1937.

Ruger 10/22 is hard to beat.....With that said, I have found none more accurate or more hitting power than a 1965 Brno bolt action with a 5 round mag. My brother owns this gun today but back in the day we both shared it. I'm no expert but the rifling on that barrel makes the round hit hard.

Brno was bought out by the now CZ company.
