The US rimfire PRS world allows air rifles up to 30cal, but nobody has won at the national level so far.

I don't know if Canada has opened up to that possibility.

I can see where they might limit them to 22cal if air rifles start cleaning up since that extra bullet diameter is a significant advantage on close range stages.

I have a feeling the RP records are about to be changed.
There are a number for fellows now shooting 40gr. HP's out of their air rifles. Now, it appears there is one
to challenge the RF's.

Some of the target competitions avoid the caliber problem by scoring with a .35 cal gauge....

Nice to see FX has decided that larger plenums are a good idea.... I wonder where they learned that?....

Watched most of Giles video on the Utah shoot last evening. Some "long" range shooting going on there.

It's getting the volume without making the rifle too tall for PRS that is the challenge.
Although there are aspects of how FX builds guns which I'm not that impressed with I have to admit putting the plenum around the barrel is a smart move.

Actually it's not new. Airforce they use the airtank as the plenum and that's why their air rifles are so powerful.
