I am going to shoot mine indoors at 20yards tomorrow with the regular "Wed. Crew". I'll turn the 3-position knob to low and this should, somewhat limit the noise - maybe.
I'll try a few different pellets - FX's and some JSB's.
If the barrel is loose, I do believe I would snug it up, not tight, tight, but snug. Depends on the amount of windage as to what I will use. I do believe it should have one.
Position, of course is another possible modifier.

my 22 cal on low setting shoots at about 11 fpe.

I am expecting right around 530fps or so. Just a guess.
That would be around 17.5 fpe 'given' a 28gr. pellet.

Here is a typical shot group sheet, 1st target group well be just off to the side. Then after correction, bulls eye every shot. Just imagine at an FT match, sight in the gun perfectly, then you fill up to shoot the match. Miss every target! Image

Just dawned on me that the barrel may be rotating after every shot if the barrel fixing brass nut is not tightened properly. So I took everything off to check. Sure enough, it was loose. I just tightened it and put everything back together.
Tomorrow I will try it again to see if that solved my POI shifting issues. If so, I will put Loctite on the threads. Stay tuned.Image

It is fixed. Here is the target sheet at 50ft. I just put 85 shots in less than Dime sized 5 shot groups with a 200 bar fill on the Dreamline. I shot the 85 shots in two separate sessions the POI remained the same.
This concludes my longwinded FX Dreamline report.

FYI the middle target was the sight in this morning.Image

Like it when a seemingly insurmountable problem is solved. I don't think the barrel could turn every shot
or the port would not line up, but it could move a wee bit.

Hey Tom glad you found the problem. Very interesting post and helpful too. Going to get Peter to read as well. Peter has the tac light version of the dreamline.

I pulled mine apart last night and re-tightened everything properly I think, just past snug.
I also use a piece of foam between the shroud and reservoir yesterday afternoon when shooting just to see what would happen, for a couple
5-shot groups. Normal group size - about 1/4" c to c, but raised 1 1/2" & 1/2" to the left. Looking forward to those barrel bands. The free-floating
barrel spooks me somewhat.

I took ineedpal's advise and tried the gun without the barrel band. Other than POI dropped with barrel droop, there is no difference in group size, so I guess I will put it back on.

Hi Bob,

It could be just my bad luck. I think MikeP nevered had any such issues. I still believe that Streamline is better than Dreamline.

They have cheapen the design on the barrel on Dreamline, maybe so that they can sell more replacement barrels.[emoji12]

Often the simplest explanation is the root cause. Glad that you fixed the issue. BTW your parts are on their way to you.

Thanks for your input. I just tried some shots with JSB 14.35gr Express and AA DF 16gr. Same POI and the groups are just so slightly shrinking. I think the gun is gradually broken in. Can't wait to try your products.
