Filled the gun to 230 bar
Hammer at max.
150 bar reg.
Transfer port setting at High

I got 35 shots between 1042 and 1062 FPS with the .25 cal. 28 gr. H&N slugs. From 230 bar down to 135 bar

Thanks to Rsterne for writing this post...
Tuning a regulated pcp
topic64317.html

The highest shot was the 28th shot, near the end of the shot string. I need to either lower the reg. pressure or increase the hammer strike.

I need to make some adjustments but it was nice to finally get a shot string as a base line or starting point.

I will not know the accuracy until warmer weather arrives. I got a couple of different slugs and pellets I want to test at 100 yards. I still have to sight the gun in. I just want to get the valve pressure and hammer strike balanced in my 11 yard "basement range" lol also see what the gun is capable of with the mods.

I was able to shim the hammer spring with two 3/8" OD washers, about 3mm more preload. It brought the average FPS up to 1085 with 28gr slugs, with an extreme spread of 9 FPS over 33 shots. 73 FPE . My goal was 68 FPE for this gun, I read the power pup shoots 68 FPE, FX advertises 84 FPE but no one has achieved that. I am happy with the way the gun is tuned now and will leave it this way until I can shoot outside. My dream of a Dreamline Power Classic came true.

Added the FX barrel band, FX tuner weight and FX no limit rings.
I also put the plastic barrel stiffener on the barrel

73 FPE is amazing - well done. Can only hope it is accurate at that setting, but it at least gives you some wiggle room.

The accuracy comes from tuning the projectile speed to a given rifling twist rate. You don't want to over spin it and not under spin it...
This cannot calculate but need to shoot it and monitor the POI...Also the led fulling.
Tune the gun for accuracy - no shortcuts, may need couple tins if you really anal with numbers ;)

Watched a video (or maybe read a text) on why some rifles shoot best with slugs in FX pellet liners, faster or slower. Slower had to do with the paradox-type rifling of the early
smooth twist barrels that had rifling only at the muzzle. Later barrels with full length impressed rifling shot better at higher speeds and the even more deeply (impressed) rifled barrels
appeared to need velocities over 900fps. Then, FX came out with the slug liners, which changed "things" again.
Yeah - it's all about tuning with what you have.

I was getting 0.7 - 1.1 inch groups at 100 yards with the 33.95gr. JSB knock out slugs. The superior heavy 700mm in .25 barrel liner is now in stock at AGS so I bought one to shoot heavier slugs.

It is not a muzzle break, it is a FX harmonic barrel tuner, it does not affect the sound of the gun.

The barrel band would be necessary with that device, along with the long barrel & shroud.
That barrel does have a shroud, doesn't it? Does that come with the 700mm barrel?

Doesn't make sense to run a tuner and barrel band, they'd work against each other.

That what I thought and had a hatsan air stripper on the gun. When I went to the range and did some shooting I tried the barrel tuner and at different settings and it did effect the group. I felt I was getting better groups with the tuner vs. the air stripper. I also tried with and with out a barrel band. Groups were ok without barrel band but the POI would shift sometimes, I started using the band and no more problems.
