I've been trying to shoot decent groupings with my TX200 at 10 meters. With varying success.
Last night my girlfriend took her daughter to cadets marksmanship practice as their competition is on Saturday. One of the guys guns spit the plastic plug out of the valve. I fixed it this morning with a piece of lead shot. The plug measured 0.1285" I took a lead shot 0.132" and some loctite red and drove it in the hole. It held up fine to the 100 shots I fired this morning.
These are both 5 shot groups I shot with the cheap daisy diopter peep sights on a well worn 853C.
I have shot quite a few of these daisy x53 series guns this winter. They are simple, fairly cheap, easy to work on and accurate.

Yep~ agreed to that without doubt!

You can see that the same reason for nobody has the need will refuse a 2nd hand x53 rifle~ they keeps the value well!

The bolt action on the x53 works well and not losing accuracy even you use mags~ That's another advantage I found on mine~

I sold my 953 years ago just because I like higher power for plinking not just paper targets and have lack of room in my home for new guns... Nothing related to accuracy, performance etc.... ImageImage

If the same design could be used to produce a 15 fpe .177 I wouldn't need anything else for target shooting... lol. Doesn't mean I wouldn't have more though, because you just never know.

Yep!! Thinks just too hard to get that power by just compressing the air in the tube.... [emoji38] [emoji38]

600fps to 700fps is about max for a single stroke pneumatic. This is done on the higher priced side stroke pneumatics & side stroke non-recoiling springer match rifles afaik.

I bought a Hatsan AT44-10 in .25 the other day.

Don't forget about the old Parker-Hale Dragon! It was an +11fpe SSP hunting rifle but it wasn't made for very long and was very expensive.

My HW97's are both VERY accurate and both run 14.5fpe.
The AirArms TX200 rifles do the same or slightly higher FPE, 15 to 15.5maybe.
I have head shot gophers to 56yards with my HW97 in .177 using Predator Pellets.

My TX is the 12 ftlb model. I heard they were smooter and shot better.

I figured if I didn't think it had enough power I could get a tuning kit and a full power spring. Seeing as most of the guys in the UK were using 12fpe models that it would likely be sufficient. I don't know if the 12pfe model I bought in Canada from AGS is the same as the UK model or not though.

Most likely is identical to a tuned, sub 12FPE UK rifle. Those blokes over there shoot bunnies & other critters out to 65yards with them
in .177, .22 & that fellow Davie shot a bunny in the head at 65yards with a Sandwell Sports tuned .25 Springer. Not that one is VERY low vel.
with huge trajectory. Those lads can shoot.
450fps with a normal JSB RN - 25.4gr. = 11.5fpe.

That would have the same trajectory as a softball.

Takes commitment and practice to pull that off in the field.
