Hi, I am new to the airgunforum.
Recently, I succeeded in fill the 12g refillable CO2 cartridge from Amazon by paintball CO2 tank at room temperature. From my scale, 10.5gram is transferred.
The most important thing is to cool down the 12g cartridge. And I also did the modifications on valves to fit green base seal (I.e., SAA SNR357) and white base seal (I.e, p365, pt92,1911).
Happy to share my modifications works!

I will make videos and upload on YouTube soon. I will post the link then. The successful refill is the first step. Modifications are required for installation in magazines or airguns. It take me quite a while to modify the cartridge I bought from Amazon to make it work

The opening on top of the refillable cartridge is a pin valve. So I could stop anytime by just remove the CO2 cartridge from the magazine or airgun, without losing all gas and ready for use next time. It appears that the refillable cartridge makes airguns more stable as the outlet is fixed, so no longer incomplete puncture happens

I have a few refillable s.. and I have two different ways of re filling them.... kinda... I see in the photo's that you have posted, you have the press on type refill adapter. I purchased one of these adapters, and all it seems to do is let all the C02 out or the main can ( using 9oz can ) via a small hole in the side of the fitting... have not figured out what I am doing wrong, however, I have been successfully recharging the cylinders using an assembly I made from a C02 "quick change" cartridge adapter... using the fitting and airhose that came with my old Tipman paintball gun, I just attach then tank, fit the refillable into the little aluminum quick change adapter, open the valve ( of course as you mentioned, the key is to super cool the C02 refillable before tying to refil it, and perhaps even slightly warm the C02 tank to a few degrees above room temp). the system works fairly well, and after around 30sec of filling, I measure the weight of the 12g , to see how many grams of C02 actually went in. Generally I get 8 to 10g, almost never more than 10g.

What is the charger u made? Could u please post a picture of it? For my adapter, modifications needed. You need to tighten the golden pin by screw driver to the lowest setting. But different CO2 tank may need different settings. The small hole is to prevent too high pressure. You could try cool down the 12g cartridge twice. I get 10.57g by cool down twice. But that’s the maximum amount.
The coolest thing from my modifications is two type of different valves on top of the 12g cartridge. I found that these two type could work in different CO2 seals

Here is the setup I am using. The components are from my Tippman paintball gun... the valve that attaches to the tank came from amazon, as did the "quick change" adapter. I cool the refillable to like -20c, then attach the rig to the tank, open the valve for like 30sec ,maybe a minute, while I place the C02 tank in a cup of warm tap water. This system seems to work well, I get almost a full C02 ( 10g ) and I get around 15 refills from the 9oz tank, which is $5 a fill at canadian tire.

The other little adapter I have, I didn't like it when I saw, due to the fact you need to have the wee suker in your hand as you refill, I like my hands, and that sh** is cold... so, i thought it made more sense to have the 12g refil in an aluminum housing during refilling. A bleed on the valve would be nice. Quite a blast when I unscrew the quick change adapter...

Oh, your idea is great. The gas go into the cartridge from the top right? The bleeding hole in small needle adapter is an issue. I wear gloves every time I use it.

I just posted the video on YouTube about the cartridge. I will upload other short videos for performance of other models using this cartridge

Love the ideas to refill. Where is the best place to get refillable cartridges?

I am really happy that u are interested in it! We are working hard to create more. Will be on sale soon. More info could be found on my YouTube channel. Please feel free to ask if u had any questions. I am more than happy to answer. The ones on Amazon is really troublesome and that’s why we are trying to make new models
