Are there any tuners around Edmonton? I have a Weihrauch HW97K .177 FAC that I would to put a full kit into. I put a V-Mach Pro Glide kit in my HW97KT but that kit is no longer available so anther question will be - what current kit is comparable.

Thanks

Chris Harris

I contacted Tony at Sandwell Sports in the UK and asked him if he could tune my high powered HW97 in .177. He replied that yes, he could do a #1 or #2 tune on the rifle,
but with current laws, he could not return the rifle to me. FYI.

Check out Vortek products. I have a Vortek "docile" spring in a Ruger (D34 clone). They make drop in kits too.

Does the HW97 require a spring compressor? You could install a drop in kit yourself, vortek will probably be the easiest to acquire within Canada. I bought TimBum kits for my tx200 and he shipped to Canada without issue but due to UK laws the kits are under 12 ft/lbs

I had a Vortec Kit for my .22 HW98 and it was full power. It went with the rifle when I sold it to a friend who needed to protect his bird feeder.
He noted it worked amazingly well. It too prefers the Hades pellets.

Another option are tune kits from Jim Maccari at Air Rifle Headquarters in the US. I have a couple in my airguns and they have great tune kits, but there are no dealers in Canada. So you would need to order from the U.S.

There are complete kits from Paul Short, with a titanium piston for the HW, I can confirm his contact if interested.
