Hello,
I have a Hammerli Single that uses the older, smaller, 8 gm. Co2 cartridge.
Its my understanding that at one time there was a 12gm. Co2 adapter available
for the Hammerli Master Target pistol that I presume would work just as well
on a Hamerrli Single.
It's my hope that somewhere out there is one of these adapters available for sale.
This would allow for more shooting of a great target gun with a more easily available modern Co2 cartridge.
If anybody has one I would be very glad to here from you.
Thanks,
Martin

Hi Martin.

I am not sure if you will be able to find what you are looking for. It seems that some Single and Master can use the 12g and (with a spacer) the 8g CO2 but the Single Kurtz can only load the 8g.

This link will bring you to the Capa site and if you go to the last entries it is explained.

This link contains a lot of info and diagrams that could be useful.

From what is shown there, maybe making a new longer cap to accommodate the 12g length might work.

Good luck.

I think I have solved my problem in a very simple manner.
I am how shooting my Hammerli Single with a 12 gm. cartridge
without any leaks.
The end cap has an aluminum spacer held by a circlip
that I removed from the endcap shell.
At the front end of the external threads at the end of the main tube
is a groove probably used as a runout groove for the thread cutting tool.
I placed a #017 o-ring into that groove.
I placed a 12 gm. cartridge into the tube and screwed on the cap. Still a gap between the cartridge and cap.
I put a #014 o-ring on top of the rounded end of the co2 cartridge and screwed the empty cap tightly over it and covering the front o-ring.
This sealed the Co2 tube completely with a 12 gm. Co2 cylinder.
It works perfectly, have used two cartridges and shot 80 - 100 pellets
and completely holds pressure.
I have never read of this idea before and invite other Single owners to try this.
