Now that the weather has improved, I have been able to do a bit of field testing with this gun. It was really fun moving from paper targets to live quarry (ground squirrels).
I've taken several dozen at the 25 to 35 yard range, and occasionally stretching out a little beyond that. The longest kill shot I made was 44 yards. Since I rarely make these shots with my .22 powder burner, I was very pleased with that. So far, I'm impressed with the accuracy and effectiveness of this gun. I'm new to PCP rifles and needed a budget gun that I could hand pump so this was it. Shot count is approximately 30, but I will be doing some experiments to see if it remains reasonably accurate up to 40 shots. As it only takes about 50 Strokes of the pump to gain the 1,000 PSI for 30 shots, I don't think it will be a big deal to pump an extra 10 or 20 Strokes after shooting it down to a pressure lower than 1800 psi. We will see.
