Never tried any 20 cal before but heard and actually I thought and I agree to that 20 cal would be a better caliber... For 177, has to be detuned, for 22 actually I think'a little' faster could be better... However, it's a bit hard to find and less choices for the 20cal pellets... The only con for it...

Grips?!. [emoji38] [emoji38]

I bought maybe 4 or 5 sets of grips for my HW45... However at last I put on the still new in the box stock walnut one which I switched out at the second day when I received the pistol... Actually I ordered the first set of grip panels before I ordered the gun... However the gun arrived first... :)ImageImageImageImageImage

When you switch barrels, watch out the two screws holding the plate to fix the barrel... Do it slowly and don't slip... Very easy to damage the screw head or the threaded hole...

Oh wow those are some very sexy grips! My friend has a 1911 and said he would give me his Hogue Peace grip or something that would make it more comfortable because I have bear paws lol. In regards to the screws should for the barrel yes i have herd the horror stories. I am an AME by trade so I know all about stripped screw heads and all that fun. Would the screws benefit from some heat then penetrant? Or will a torque-driver work fine to break the, I assume locktite? I also have a wheeler gun kit and some impact allen heads in an assortment of sizes. Any help or suggestions is appreciated!

[emoji38] nothing need an impact gun for such a tiny tiny screw~

It will be good for just once or two times removing and tightening back... I stripped one head because I didn't carefully insert my allen key and it slipped... Then I ruined one hole once because I swapped the barrels (for fun?! ) too many times (maybe 3, 4 times) so I had to re tapped the hole and made it one size bigger then used a bigger screw to hold the plate...

If concerning about the loctite (I didn't find it on my screws... They just tight...), a better way to do is heated up the tip of your allen key with a torch or something else can do the job, then put it in and wait a few seconds then start turning... A good gentleman told me that... And I then know I don't need to heat up the whole gun with a hair dryer... [emoji38]

Oh yea i guess i shoulda said "manual hand impact bit driver" haha. And iv used that trick too softening the glue but i use a bit in the bolt/screw head and heat it up for awhile so that both surfaces expand and not just the bolt/screw body.

I actually did end up picking that one up right when he posted it. I was asking him about his mods on a 2240 he had for sale then later told me he had a HW45 in 0.20 cal that he just posted. Told me that swapping barrels to a 0.22cal is easy so i decided to pick it up. He also mentioned that the 0.20cal was the better caliber to shoot so ill give it a go till i can source a 0.22 cal barrel. Also seemed like a very nice stand up gentleman!

Those HW45's go FAST!.....Funny a .20 came up on Gunpost on the 16th and I grabbed it. LOL

Where did you find a .22 barrel?
