Non Pal sub 500fps

In General

20 yard, 25 yard Which is more accurate 177 or 22

PP800 Specific. Has anyone tested one vs the other

Target pistol shooting is done with .177, but at 10 meters. If you want to shoot further, the larger
calibre has the "potential" to be more accurate. Actual factual accuracy will depend on you, as much
as the gun. The better the potential, the better you should shoot it.

I'm not one for the free hand 10 meter stuff. Issues with my arms.

I'm more of a bench top shooter. Rifle and Pistol. 20 -25 yards seem max for sub 500fps.

My PP700 22 cal is quite good. Now looking for multishot pistols and rifles.

Just wondering if people with more experience have found 22 or 177 more accurate at that range. i.e if a particular gun model exists in both cals, which would be better. For hunting I would go with 22 for the extra punch. But just plain target shooting I am not sure.

At that distance there will be no difference in the calibers at sub 500 with the same gun. We will be able to punch more holes with .177 as there is some cost advantage.

Agree with that... The pellet price are very high then higher and higher I think... Bought two tins of 22cal Hades to try on my new toy and they caused my 60$...

I shot these at 10 and 18 meters with a .22 cal. PP800.
The 19.09gr. Barracuda Hunters did not do as well at 18 meters as the 21.3gr.
The 21.3gr. was also more accurate in my PP700.

Have you tried the JSB 15.89. I find they work well in my PP700.
