No question high power as Yep yep mentioned but more consistent power level with regulated versions. Consistency in leads to better accuracy.

co2 can be very consistent too... But a bulb for just 30 less or more shots is just far less than a PCP, regulated or not... HPA then?!

Springers are consistent too.... But single shot... [emoji38]

And I think the PCP also have another advantage... There's only a small 'power block' or say the action block to handle all this... Like an intergrated circuit to replace the old school transitors...

Like my M3 compact vs the HW35E... Can you see the M3 has a 20 inches barrel?! and another comparison between the 14 inches barrel2240 and the M3...

For power... The mini M3 22cal can do 60+ fpe... The HW35E is less than 12fpe and I am not sure about the 'high' power co2 rifle can do... The 2240 I have is the most powerful co2 I have but it's still a pistol So 14 inches barrel without other special mods it just shoots around 480fps... ImageImage

I've read some people getting 800+ fps from highly customed CO2 setups under ideal conditions. You have to keep in mind temperature greatly affects the psi of co2. The more you shoot, the colder it gets, the lower the psi. Temperature does affect all airgun power plants but co2 is the most impacting.

i'll have to do some more reaserch. I now see the benefits of PNP, just not sure if the cost is worth it.

There’s budget pcp’s and with a hand pump you could be shooting for well $500 especially if you found a package deal in for sale section here.

Like many many airgunners here, I’ve have wasted so much money, once I looked back. If I would have just started using the theory ‘buy once, cry once’, I’d have a lot more money or ammo. Save and save and buy what you truly want. Or you’ll be selling off something to finance the next buy, which equals a slight loss.

Once I finally bought my AT44 many many moons ago from the forum store, I enjoyed the 13-15 years that it provided. And I still have it till this day. Once I finally made the jump to PCP, I knew I finally found what I was looking for.

And remember in this economy, prices are only rising.

I'll be taking my Condor .25 PCP Air Force rifle out to the lake for some plinking fun.
I'll later switch it out for one of the other PCP .25's I have, an FX Dreamline, an Aselkon MX9 Sniper
and perhaps the Umarex M11. All are champing at the bit to be shot. They get sulky if you don't
shoot them enough. Mine are quite sulky siting in the gun storage, but shoot well whenever allowed to.

I'm just getting back into air guns after 40 years. This pcp thing is new to me and I must do se leaening. I favor springers over co2as the latter seems wasteful.

It may *seem that way, for sure, but CO2 is just a consumable item and in fact very economical. It costs about $0.50 for a 12 g CO2 cart, and that gets you 30 shots. Buy a box of 40 carts, that's 1200 shots. And there is nothing else to buy, no pump, no fittings, no tanks, hoses, etc.

... and no compressors, no piston seals, no mainsprings. CO2 occurs naturally so no pollution added to environment. Sometimes it's a good option for an older shooter suffering from arthritis or other ailment where he/she can't cock a break-barrel, pump a MSP or pump up a PCP.
