Hello everyone,

Basically just seeing if I can post a message without goofing up! The photo is an old favorite, a Diana model 60 match rifle, made in 1967. This was the first type of recoilless double-piston gun made by Diana.

Hi Mike - beautiful tack driver - is she still used on a regular basis?

I have a Winchester 333 (Diana 65) that I shoot every Monday evening during winter months at a 10 M indoor club. This series of Diana rifles were excellent examples of German engineering and are more accurate than this shooter - LOL!

Thanks for sharing.

Bill

Welcome to the forum. Those are beautiful rifles. I recently had the opportunity to shoulder one. I was suprised how stout the barrel was. Wish they still made them.

Thanks gents - yes I do shoot this one from time to time, though not in any formal sort of competition. A wonderful rifle - nice compact size, great trigger and sights, and truly recoil-free.

The actual barrel is not so heavy, but carries a removable sleeve as additional weight. The later model 65 action added a locked breech, which enabled a heavier sleeve; the model 60 just has an auto ball-bearing breech detent.

I have another model 60, a Tyrolean made in 1982. It's interesting to compare the minor details in the action that changed over the years from the '67 one.
