Here is a pic of my range it goes out to 190 feet ( where the big round gong is (up high)). The great thing about living in the country is you have room to play. I know it is a little blurry but I will post some close up pictures of some of my targets. I am trying to build some of my targets for lead recovery.

This is one of my favorite targets. When the 22 slug hits the center the flapper slams back down with a nice thud.

This one makes a great clanking sound when the flap slams back down

These targets (yellow rectangle part) is made of roughly 1/8 inch stainless steel. These targets ring like a gong, You can hear the strike of the pellet nearly 1 km away. Absolutely not a target for a urban area unless you wish to piss people off.

In the first picture of the previous post you will note all the pellets striking 6,8 inches down from the top of the target. I think that target is about 140 feet from the firing line. The pellet drop becomes great even out of my TAU 7. On the crony the 22 pellets leave the barrel at roughly 480 feet/persec. I prefer rectangle targets at past 100 feet due to the vertical drop. I am happy to leave a stitch mark of pellets up the length of the target through the 12 gram charge of co2.

I guess you can have 300 yards if you clean the grass a little bit. Nice place to play with

I really like that one, but how do you keep track of where the pellets hit? (assuming when you get them in the hole they don't leave any evidence).

That's it, we are all coming over!

All of us city dwellers are very envious.

Great looking targets. Thanks for sharing.

I don't keep track of where the pellets strike on that target, you could say I am not working to tight tolerances on some targets like that one. I am just happy to get the pellet in without contacting the front surface. This picture shows another target way out at 190+ft. I am happy just to hit the gong at that range.

It's a nice setup and 190' is not a small distance for a pistol, air or otherwise. Could use a bit of grooming. If you haven't already, a good reason to buy a 60hp tractor with a mowing attachment.

Excellent targets! That's definitely my preference. Gongs, swingers and knockdowns are a blast. I might have to make something like that flapper target. Great idea.
