Dug this one out of the box today , it could use some cleaning and maybe a few rounds down the chute

I did not know of other versions, looks like the breech is different are there any others ?

Such a cool concept hobbled by a terrible breach loading mechanism. I would love to find an easy way to mount the bolt action steel breach but its my understanding you can't just take the current steel breach that Crosman sells and mount it to the ssp250 because the breach mounting screw is in the wrong place.
