Been wanting another shotgun for a few months. Ended up going with the 88 security model. Added a few extras.......loving it so far.

Yup, best bang or the buck. Lots of aftermarket parts and a great addition to the 500/590/88 lineup.

I've never owned a Mossberg but they are well known as a quality firearm. I have been eyeing those 88's for awhile now.

I have a brand spanking new 590-A1 being gifted to me as I completed an extensive rotten 24ft main beam replacement and deck refurbish. I refused to take payment as he is a good friend.

Nice gun for sure. Note the heavier barrel on the Mossy ahead of the action.
These guns will easily handle loads, other shotguns won't, if you are into loading for it,
that is.
They are very well made guns. While Remington 870's are said to have tanked in quality,
the Mossbergs have not followed suit.

I agree, this thing is built like a tank. I sure wish my dad was still around to see it, I'm sure he would approve. 40yrs ago, my dad would have kicked my arse for even thinking of a mossy. I grew up with 870 and 1100; These were well made back in the day.
