My Bigmax X was a leaker from day one. All the leaks but one were an easy repair, Just some orings. The gun had not been used for 12 months till this past spring when I purchased a wide verity of slugs. I was never able to fix the leak at this noted location of the copper tube.

The hole on the front drop black was very well machined with a smooth taper for the flared tube to sit against. The rear drop block had a very rough surface included the conical flare base. What I did not realize is that the head of the flare nut was bottoming out against the surface before the flare was tight even though now it was plainly visible. I had it apart this summer for a few days as I decided on a permanent repair. I decided to loctite the flare and the nut in place. There was no leak the next day but after a few but shots the leak was worse. I purchased a new tube last week, but this time a placed a oring in the bottom of the hole hoping it to form a nice fit on both the smooth tube flange and the rough base. I now finally have a leak free gun after 26 months. I do get satisfaction with the power, blowing hole through a 2x6 and embedding the slugs into the backer board

Yeah funny, back in the day pellet guns were a "toy". The power these pcp's produce is mind blowing.

I'm happy you found the culprit, nothing worse than searching for a leak. Knock on wood, I haven't had to search one yet. :drinkers:

Great you were able to finally fix the link. As to power, at a low setting, I am
getting 905fps with a 51gr. bullet in my .25 Condor. Further testing is needed with them.

I recently moved up to 50cal for all out power, and looking for a .35 cal as my back up big bore. I think because of the newness of the big bore I see none used fore sale anywhere.

I think the .45 Texan is the best seller as most outfitters have them for use when you are with there guides. I started planning on going south for all of March this year but the parents of my next grandchild have shut me down. Mississippi is asking all hunters to take an extra dear this year as they have a disease problem and are expecting a food shortage next spring due to this years drought. They are asking hunters to place the deer heads in freezers that have been placed around the state to complete the testing.https://www.mdwfp.com/wildlife-hunting/chronic-wasting-disease/sample-collection/
