I suspect the threaded area between the 2 bolts but I've tried Teflon tape and it still leaks so I need suggestions?

I ran into a similar problem and while I didn't try Teflon tape I did replace a white, plastic/nylon washer that fits inside the female connector. Here's the thread that I started and some really good advice from the great folks on the forum. It might have some helpful ideas for you.

Post a picture of the location. I just looked at the parts Oring diagram and cant find a location matching your description. 2 orings go inside the female foster, and a white crush washer goes inside the thread end as a seal.
