Hello everyone,

Thought I'd share a little project I've been working on over the past few months; a custom, hand carved Walnut Grip for my Artemis PP700SA.

After tweaking the trigger to my liking some time ago, I always thought the original plastic grip pair cheapened what is otherwise a pretty decent regulated air pistol for the money.

Our good buddy Wes, @ Airgun Archery Fun, put me in touch with a gentleman in Vancouver named Tommy, who is quite skilled at wood carving, and I commissioned him to carve out a new grip for my PP700 based on the Reximex RPA I also own. I sent Tommy the PP700 and the grip off my RPA, and he applied his noteworthy talents to the project. A few weeks later, he'd essentially duplicated the one piece RPA grip, adapted to fit the PP700SA perfectly. Tommy offered to do all the finishing work and complete, but I requested he send me the grip 80% finished so I could customize it to my right hand, and enhance the final look & feel to my liking.

Using a variety of hand tools, sandpaper and a reciprocating dowel sander, I built upon Tommy's fine work to produce the finished one piece walnut grip as pictured. A coat or two of Watco Mahogany Oil Finish, and some dark paste wax added the final touch. Now I truly do have a one-of-a-kind PP700SA that looks as nice as it shoots. Tommy is more than happy to take on additional projects like this, and IMHO, the an is truly quite an artist. Anyone wanting to get in touch with him are welcome to PM me for his contact information.

Thank you Wes ad Tommy, for adding so much fun to this sport!

Thanks for the kind words Sir, it was a pleasure working this grip for you, I love the final touch that you made, Too bad that there's not many of this pistol around anymore.

Looks great, but I'm a 2-handed kind of guy so the stock grip is better for me.
Good looking custom grip, though. Kudos to Tommy.

Those are great looking grips. I have one of Pistolero's wood grip creations on my PP700, and it's great.

I prefer the look and feel of wood grips and stocks, where it's ok to use it, rather than plastic and synthetics.

Late to the party, but being someone that's smack in the middle of making a grip for the PP700, this strikes a chord in me.

The grips are gorgeous. Wow!!!!

Must feel like a million bucks compared to the original grip.
