In various posts related to tuning it often comes up. Put in a lighter or heavier hammer spring.

Not having been tuning for long I don't have a box of misc springs.

Where do you source them. (Cheap)

I have found variety packs on amazon and ebay. Are they any good.

I bought mine on eBay. Not a pack, but individual spring with different specs, such as OD/ID, wire diameter, length etc.

They were shipped from the far east. Not terribly expensive. Shipping took a couple of weeks.

My rifle has threaded plug to hold the hammer spring, and it can fine tune the spring. There are other ways to change spring's characteristics; shortening, stretching, thinning etc.

Go to your local FLAPS (friendly local auto parts store) and buy a box of assorted compression and expansion springs for fifteen bucks or so. NAPA, or Lordco.

I'm going to have to check this out at Napa or some other auto parts places. I bought a bag of assorted springs from princess auto but none of them would be suitable as a hammer spring.

Personally, I have tuned a few PCP’s in the past few years. I have yet to replace the hammer springs. The most that I have done is to trim a couple of coils off of the hammer spring in my Diana Outlaw. The hammer springs can be adjusted for a wide range of power output in all the PCP’s that I have encountered.
