Picked up this very old Chinese Underlever for $10.00 because the guy said it wouldn't "catch" and hold the tension. I figured it's probably the sear worn out but instead a guide washer for the piston rod came off causing the rod and piston to slightly tilt so the sear couldn't catch it. I made sure it wouldn't come off again.Never seen so much dried ,caked grease in an airgun before...Spring still in great shape and leather piston seal still good so I lubed it up good and cleaned and molyed the gun.The bolt you see with tape on it is my thumb saver. When I load a pellet I chuck it in the breech to prevent it slamming shut if something let's go. Just in case. A quick twist of the gun and it pops out . Easy Peasy...shoots a 7.4 Crosman at 626 fps. Good enough I guess for ten bucks...

I cut up a bunch of them in the early 90's i had a create of them very dangerous i would not sell them after a few people all most lost a finger junk be very careful all way hold that handle if you must shoot it ..

It's a strange looking beast. Looks like someone fitted a QB79 stock on a B3.

Actually it has a quite solid feel to it and like I said once I reworked it a little it's a fun little piece...but you DO have to be cautious of the breech...I want to keep my thumbs

I have three B3s. Two in .177 and one in .22. They are great airguns that respond well to tuning. My B3-1 shoots 7.2 gr pellets at 795 fps with an occasionally 800 fps showing on my chrono.. My (detuned with a lighter spring) B3-3 shoots at the same relative speed as yours (mid 600s). My B3-4 shoots 14gr pellets at 565 fps. All three guns have the Crosman piston seal conversion which also gives an increase in swept volume. Same conversion seal mount I made for your chinese break barrel a while ago.
When loading a B3, a right handed shooter can pull the under lever with the left hand and tuck the butt under your left armpit. Never let go of the cocking arm with your left hand and hold the tension braced against your left armpit while loading. Even if the sear lets go, the piston won't move since you're holding it from moving.

If you would like a seal conversion for your "new" B3, I'm happy to make one for you. Same price I charged you last time. Free. The seal installer aluminum taper I made for you will work for the B3 conversion too.
