I have been thinking of making a field cart for shooting FT matches in the woods such as Port Colbourne and Grenville.
Last week at Port Colbourne I saw Tony M’s cart again. It kicked started my project.
Starting with a baby jogger cart, I stripped off the seating apparatus and added strips of wood but retained the bottom basket for my air bottle. I think the end result is pretty good.

Where did you source the frame?
Looks good, the only difference from Tony's is that Tony has the muzzle pointing to the ground whereas you are looking down the barrel.

You can buy gun grips to hold your gun similar to below. Check Canadian Tire or Royal Distributing. It might make it easier to get your gun pointing down so you're not eating it when you trip :)

Got it from Kijiji for $40. Gun is not loaded during transport, I am OK!

The gun is not loaded, I use a single shot tray during a match and only load a pellet before a shot is taken. The gun will remain unloaded during transporting.

Hey Tom,

I agree with Pistelero. The word 'Accident' will always remain in the dictionaty. It has the bad habit of sneaking into one's life quite unexpectedly.

Most match directors would consider that illegal. Switch the gun to facing down and match directors will not have a problem with that. At the worlds in England, they insisted that the gun must be pointing down or down range, never up, particularly if it is pointing directly in someone's face. The number one rule for any firearm is that at all times you consider it and treat it as if it is loaded.

I agree with that for cart use, barrel pointed down. In cowboy action shooting the muzzles of long guns, be they rifles or shotguns, are carried by the barrels
or forends, actions open, with the muzzle pointing straight up. No other carry is allowed, except on the firing line, where they are always pointed down range.
