Been following this one with interest. Wrote a couple of appropriate replies to some of the goofier comments..........and then decided there was no real point to it

If you've got a mouse, a keyboard, and an opinion...

then the internet gives you a platform to blabber on about anything.

I for one, do not take anything that comes out of America seriously - except their Clint Eastwood movies.

Good job Keyrigger!

Even then, not all read what was there and what was said, only what they wanted to see and hear. At least some see what I wrote as a warning to be extremely careful or just buy a rifle or pistol built from the ground up by a known manufacturer.

Simply put; The majority of americans gobble up the idea that Hammerli is producing a spring piston gun when in fact it is really just another rebadged import. Watch them bad mouth just about every other country in the world, including the UK and Germany, and then turn around and praise there airgun manufacture. I'm sorry Notec, but morron is not an adequite discription of the individual you responded to. Obviously too much beer(Canadian or otherwise) = dumbass.

I threw my nickel's worth into that thread:
http://www.network54.com/Forum/275684/m ... ed+........

And it is painfully obvious that some folks have their head buried so far up their own, or someone else's, posterior, that they fail to see the light of day. Talk about an ill-informed statement. (Except for the beer part  )

They kind of forget the entire part about where NASA got their real pool of scientists and engineers, thanks to the demise of the Arrow program. Without some of those inventions, it would be a very dim world and no internet backbone to chat over.

By the way, thanks for your comments there. I feel I have said in that article what has to be said and I don't think I have to defend what I wrote with every last nitwit out there. Maybe it is hitting too close to home for some of them.

You just have to get used to the American's rant and rave.
I have American relatives that actually believe God created the world
in the American image.
The American's created the Sun and Moon etc. You get the idea.
It's nice to believe in your country, but talk about overkill!

That is so funnnnny, I would not waste my time arguing with any of them. Two of my best friend are Biologist in Pennsylvania and would be the first ones to say that most American are so self centered on them self that they would not dare venture outside of there own county.

And they can’t even stand our beer it’s too strong.

At that my sister is American and I have lots of US friends most of the Americans that travel have learned to respect other countries.

HI:The reason my dad and ultimately myself became Canadian, originated from the Arrow. He came to Canada to work on it and stayed on after its demise. He didn't take his family to Long Beach CA because of what he saw as a detriment to my health:The Draft. Can anybody say Vietnam (Iraq) ? KeyRinger's artical is valid when it comes to modifing things in general( a V8 in a bug). I have worked on projects in the States and have over the years made lasting friends.Like teenages, I try not to judge a few against all.Now I will get off of my soap box.Bernie
