I guess I'm gonna have to put my money where my mouth is, eh?

But before I lay down the cash, I need to do some due diligence.

Who is holding the money and how?
How is it going to be appropriated?
Will the donating members be shown a budget?

Not that I don't trust you guys, but even the most honest person with a big surplus of donations can end up accidentally making a call to quakenbrush for a .50 cal

Who is holding the money and how?
The site admin (AKA the bill payer) .. that would be me.

How is it going to be appropriated?
Monthly for hosting fees, which may be increasing since our forum is getting too large for a shared host which means we would need a dedicated server and those are 99bucks/month and up. If we are lucky and we dont need a dedicated server it will pay for the next few months of hosting and for extra bandwidth to be able to host images on the server. My last host said the site was too big for shared hosting which is why we had the downtime to move to a new host. Right now we are well within our bandwidth (1 terabyte limit) however the more important factor is how much processor time the forum is taking (php database forums are notorious for using lots of processor speed which slows all the sites sharing the server). If the forum takes too much processor time (percentage) the host can tell us to leave or get dedicated or semi-dedicated hosting.

Budget?
If there is a budget surplus it will stay in my paypal account and pay for the next months. Money orders will be added to his budget as well.

How soon we forget. :D

"Hey this is Webstien,

Sorry about the downtime, the site is moving servers and I wasn't able to use the internet all of yesterday to reply to your emails because I was away from home. I will do everything I can to get the site up and running TODAY.

I did make a post about the downtime the night before but I guess it was a bit short notice. The reason why I have to change hosts is because I've been having trouble with our current host. I will make a post with details on the forum once its back up.

post here with any questions,

Rick"

That's his personal time. Switching the forum over to another server for all of us. The least "I feel" I can do is donate some cash for his time and effort.
