Perhaps someone that lived in the UK, way back when, could comment on the technicalities of how their old pub shoots used to work. Most air pistols shooting those little fluff tailed darts would have presented no more danger to the other patrons than the regular throwing darts that were also used in pubs. You have to remember, we are talking of a time long ago, when someone carrying a pistol case into any public establishment did not result in mass hysteria, and a calling out of the ETF.

Very old topic that I did not know existed, but I have something to contribute  Recently I passed by a small unincorporated town of Kilby, BC. There was a farmhouse museum with a room dedicated to Mr. John Willison Green who I was told was mayor of nearby Agassiz for a time and a big time sasquatch enthusiast. I snapped a picture of a pamphlet for Cap-chur with some pictures of very familiar airgun designs, but reading this thread has already answered all my questions about the airgun models already Anyway, I thought you guys might get a kick out of this if you haven't seen it yet! I was just amused at the idea that someone may have seriously wanted to shoot sasquatch in the bum with our beloved airguns...
