Hello my pellet - shooting friends,

So I really enjoy shooting my Weihrauch HW30S. Only problem is: short trigger finger.

Does anyone have the Rowan setback trigger on their Rekord system?

I am not sure whether I should get the setback or extra setback trigger.

I use the standard set back trigger on my 50s. It’s perfect for me. I have what I’d call normal large hands, I can almost fit medium gloves sometimes.

I was worried the extra set back would just be too much for me.

I have the Rowan extra setback trigger on an HW30 (10 mm setback), I purchased the rifle used and it came with it. At first I loved it, it's very well finished and comfy. But I found out that with my long fingers, it's a wee bit too much set back. I'll eventually replace it with a 5 mm setback blade or normal setback wider blade. I'm currently making a small batch of brass Rekord trigger blades with varying setbacks, so I'll see what profile I like the best.

''I am not sure whether I should get the setback or extra setback trigger.''

The trigger blade should be positionned on the first half of your finger pad, near the knuckle. Check to see how much back travel it takes to reach that position, with the rifle UNCOCKED of course :)

I have both the extra and normal setback triggers. Personal preference - I like the extra.

Great quality and easy to install.

Do it!

I had the same problem as you and the extra setback fixed that problem.

At rest it's 14mm from the front of the blade to the inner diameter of the trigger guard.

And, more importantly, at second stage it's about 9.5mm from the front of the blade to the inner diameter of the trigger guard.

My finger's not stretching at all. And I have a 7cm trigger finger.

Do it.

PS. You'll need a 1/16" punch.

I installed a straight Rowan setback trigger on my HW97. It's a quick and easy job to install, and offers a better trigger hand position. Well worth it. RC

This is why I like this community. You guys rock, thank you very much for your input.
My trigger finger is almost 8cm so looks like the Extra setback it is!
