I'm considering a Diana 24 for a basement plinker. My old eyes don't work with iron sights anymore so I will need optics. The D24 stock appears to have a lot of drop at the comb. Does the stock work okay with a 32mm scope mounted? Can you get a good cheek weld when shooting with optics? Or, does the cheek rest become a chin rest?

How does the Diana 24 stock compare to the Diana 240 stock for scope shooting? The 24 is likely better built but the 240 might have a better stock design for optics.

Anybody here own a 24 or 240 that is scoped? Comments? :)

Many thanks

I have the 24 T05 with a Simmons 3x9-32 AO scope mounted and no problems with mounting and no droop.

I'm about to mount a 3-9X40 on a Diana 24, I'll throw that on tonight and let you know how it goes.

Hey good to see you around again!
I've had the same 3-9x32 Bushnell on my 24 for quite a few years and it's very comfortable to use on the gun. I haven't tried one myself, but I've heard the 240 is a sweet little plinker too. Have fun.

I had a 2-7x32 Hawke HD IR scope on my D24 and it was good to shoot.

Curious what distance you zero in your scopes on the 24?

I shot my Diana 24 indoors, so it was zeroed for 10 yards.

I am thinking of scoping my 24C I just got. What fits the rail on this rifle?

I zeroed mine in at about the same 10 yards for indoor shooting, took the gun outdoors last weeknd shot at 20 yards and was a couple inches high.

11 mm scope rail standard on most of them, I put on a one piece Leapers high profile mount.

That's what should be expected. If you zeroed for 20 yards and then shot at 10, your POI would be low.

Yes, thats the tragectory.
So if zeroed at 10, how far past 20 will I hit bullseye?

It would depend on the pellet speed.

I don`t have a chrony, but according to Diana, it should be doing about 570fps. max.
I did a spring change from a non pal to a pal rated, and gained about 70fps. :?

New to these air rifles/pistols, so is it easy to change a spring? I have my PAL.

Difficult question to answer not knowing you, it would depend on your mechanical aptitude.
I have always enjoyed working on cars or anything using my hands. So I found it easy, your mileage may vary.
I also have limited experience on air rifles, but reading these forums there is a wealth of information.
I also just finished a tune on my T05 trigger and what very happy with the results. :)
