Hello folks,

I am looking for a .22 or .25 PCP tack driver that does not require a PAL, but that can be upgraded in the future beyond 500fps.

Considering the "Cometa Lynx" from dlairgun, however other suggestions of rifles would be appreciated.

For a light weight 30m tack driver the Brocock at Specialty Shooting Sports Outdoors. Another option. Believe there was a used one up for grabs in the forsale forum.

Don't be too quick to rule out the AT-44. Anyone here will tell you that, for the money, this will compete with most rifles at twice the price and a full power upgrade is as simple as changing the valve stem. Add a regulator and you'll have a real winner.

Would you take the AT-44 over the Lynx, if so, why?

With the AT44 you can buy an extra tube and switch back and forth from under 500 to PAL in less than a minute just by changing the tube. Tubes are about $100.

That model uses cylinders which screw into the gun. You can have as many as you can afford, keeping spares filled and swapping them out as needed. The exhaust rate from the cylinder can be modified in a couple of ways, but I'm not a Hatsan owner so can't spell out the details. I'm sure there are lots of forum posts describing the procedure. Makes for quite a large range of power options.
