airgunsource told me they'd have limited quantities arriving in October

What I want to know is:
- will we be able to buy barrel liners in Canada ?
- Will the Canadian version of the gun have a shroud ? If it does, how did they make it legal (is the shroud in our version fixed and non-extendable, like the impact? Or is the air stripper inside removed?). Because the ability to work on the barrel is such an important feature of the crown I want to know how this will be handled. Shrouded barrels look nicer, and it looks goofy when they just take the shroud off an otherwise shrouded gun.

When did thy tell you October? I had contacted them a few weeks ago and they indicated more towards the end of year. October would be great for me.

Hi,

We are just waiting for a update on them. We are hoping small amount will be shipped in October.
We will have pricing next week and will open a pre-order once FX has some final details.

Streamline is arriving October date as well.

Regards

ok thanks. My reply was later on in the month, sept 27. Crowns end of year however I won't complain if that small shipment makes it earlier.

Thx for all the info. I was told the same thing as well, the impact was expected at the end of September and then delayed till end of October, while the crown is still towards Christmas time (good daddy present lol).
Any impact .25 or .30 in the market you guys are aware of!

I have been on the waiting list (Number 2 on the list) for a crown since before it was announced at iwa in Germany. Not sure who number one is but I'm guessing a employee at airgunsource. I have a Impact in .25 and its phenomenal! Regularely does well under .5 at 50 yards with unsorted pellets.

Really want a crown with the new x barrel so I can put it on my impact. It will be years before we finally get spare crown full barrel assemblys I'm guesing.

I agree the thin barrels do alone look anemic compared to the shrouded version. Actually though I prefer the Canadian versions without the shroud for one reason. There will be enough room in-between the barrel and air tube to adhere a carbon fiber sleeve-CFS over the barrel. Also the receiver will be machined to accommodate the shroud and that can be used to attach the CFS which is essential. Not only will this stiffen the barrel for better accuracy but is even cooler looking than the plain shroud.

Weren't they supposed to arrive in October?

Wonder why the long wait??? Are they the most popular PCP's on the planet?

Cheers :|
