Incase you are one of the few that have bought a SCBA tank from Rick, here is the valve you need to fill from the tank.

Just an FYI for those in Calgary who requires a hydro:
Hi Richard,

We can certainly hydro-test this cylinder for you.  The charge is $34.00 for the hydro-test, and an additional $27.50 if you would like us to fill it.  Turnaround time is about 2 days.  Please let me know if you have any questions or need anything else.

Thank you,

Hydro test price is far by very reasonable. As for the fill cost bit pricey...IMHO

The Dive Shop was the cheapest place I found to fill my tank. First couple times was $7.50, then they put the price up to $10, but that was a while ago.
Caribbean Dreams was $20 unless you pre-paid 10 fills which brought it down to $10 per fill. (would have taken me 5 years to use)
Neither place filled to 4500 psi, but close ... (4200-4300)

I didn't use Orion, as they didn't get back to me in time before the weekend. I went to my usual Carribean Dreams and I'll let you guys know much it cost.

Castle - good to know, - but just to be certain, they are performing hydro tests on expired 4500psi carbon fiber tanks?

No, mine still have 4 years of life remaining on it and the last hydro expired in July '16.

Got my tank back today. John said the place he sends tanks for hydro had to find a connector to fit my tank. Plus, he had to epoxy a few spots where the epoxy had chipped off. If the tank had any broken strands where the epoxy was chipped, the tank is toast. Total cost was $73.50 for visual, hydro, epoxy fix and fill. Probably would have been cheaper if I was patient and waited for Orion.

I don't know much about hydro testing as I'm new to PCP's but seems you guys are paying a lot for a fill. I get mine filled for nothing at a local paint ball place here in Cambridge Ontario.

Local guy just got a 97cu.ft. Carbon tank filled at the local paint ball shop - they charged him $60.00.

The two tanks I bought, may need new O rings - one leaked down to 2,500psi, the other to 2,000psi. They've lost no more in the last 2 months, so I'm going to try running them up again to see if they hold now.

Only had enough nitrogen left to bring the 2,000psi tank up to 2,500psi. It seems to be holding - it will be interesting to see if it continues to do so.

This is where I got mine, along with the valve for the nitrogen tank! Praxair wanted $775.00 for their nitrogen valve - I think it was just over $200.00 from Joe.

For the carbon tank you need the SCBA valve: http://www.airtanksforsale.com/scbaassy.jpg
