Just wondering if anyone here has any experience with Industry Brand air rifles. Been interested in the QB79 for years but pushed it to the side burner and now I'm having a heck of a time finding one. Anyone know if anyone carries them in Canada, or is it not even worth the hassle of finding one. Having a hard time finding any reviews on them.

Not sure why you'd find it difficult to find reviews. The QB78, QB78D, and QB79 are among the more popular rifles among modders. Perhaps it is difficult to find a review of a stock QB because of this fact; many end up being quite heavily modified. My own QB78D is scarcely anything like the stock format. Same goes for my QB57, which isn't even remotely like it was when I unboxed it. Heck, I only put a few pellets through it before tearing it apart and starting some fairly radical modifications.

But here are some opinions on one of the basic Industry Brand rifles:

Just looking at Google and YouTube i see hundreds of reviews of each model, so try a search, I'm sure you'll find lots of input. In my opinion they make a fantastic starting place for having fun with tools and parts and getting them working really nicely. The basic materials and dimensions aren't bad, especially for the price. Much more solidly build than most Crosman stuff. Whether sticking with CO2 or converting to high pressure air, a QB will be there for you for years of service. Just be prepared to tinker with it a bit.

As for purchasing availability ... apparently there is a bit of a supply problem lately. I don't know what that will mean in terms of getting them in Canada. Bought my QB57 from ScopesAndAmmo but they no longer list it there. Bought my QB78D second hand from a local collector.
