Is that the air chamber oil?
I got my CO2 pistol about 4 years ago and my friends who were airgun shooters told me to put a drop on the wall of the co2 cartridge and the rubber rings to improve the air seal, so I do. I use RWS air camber lube. This is because that is what I found at the store. I normally get 95 +- from a cartridge.

The very basic machine old works well in CO2. There is no special requirements, unless it is corrosive or not rubber-friendly (f.e. do not use WD-40).

One of the most economical oils for a CO2 airgun is 30W-ND motor oil. You pay about the same price for a litre as Pellgun Oil for the tiny tube. Many years ago I was told that Pellgun Oil is actually a 30W-ND motor oil manufactured by Lubrication Engineers in Fort Worth Texas. They call it "Monolec" and add a red tint to the product. For many years I have used a budget brand of 30W-ND from WalMart with no problems.

Is the 30W-ND oil just the standard 30w engine oil you can buy at any auto service station such as Shell, Esso et

To be on the safe side it has to say ND or non-detergent on the container .

MotoMaster Non-Detergent Motor Oil SAE-30

is what I have been using for years on my CO2 & pumper airguns .

And not only for CO2 guns. Some motor oils good for springers too (in a very small quantities).
Some 2T motor oils have hi self-ignite temperature that makes them to some extent resistant to dieseling.

I was in Canadian Tire this afternoon so I dropped by the automotive section to check the oils. They have Motomaster 30W Non-Detergent for $5.49 for 946ml (reg price). They price the tiny tube of Pellgun Oil at $9.99... and it's the same product.
