The Red Ryder hands down.

I have a lot of BB rifles. Had some health issues and was trapped indoors for quite a few months, so bought some BB rifles for 8yd indoor shooting.

Marlin is harder to cock, has a very short length of pull, has a really bad trigger ( RR is just "bad"), is less accurate and throws pretty bad flyers.

On the plus side it is more powerful, the wood is nice, and it feels a bit more solid.

I prefer the cowboy LOL
It feels more solid, looks better and mine is at least as accurate than the red ryder and I'd say it's more accurate but haven't shot it in months so I'll settle for at least as accurate.
For the price, you should just get both and a Daisy mod. 25 while you're at it. I also added a pink RR to the mix in case my daughter would be interested but not really.
I wish Daisy still made the mod. 99... now THAT's a BB gun!!!
