Introducing my 53k special ...495 fps ..vibration free and reduced recoil....a great ratting tool for my pocket or tackie box.... accuracy is 20mm at 10 yards ...

Isn't that stock about 400 fps? How did you get it to shoot at closer to 495 fps?

Stock, they run 400 to 425 fps but on the twin mainsprings which are a bad idea really. Using a HW30 spring shortened to 18 coils....flattened end and re polished ends....then machining up nice snug fitting Delrin guides ..returned 465 fps... Finally chucking out the inconsistant leather piston seal for the TR Robb PTFE head but i modified this slightly to give a little more stroke and feather edged it ... Taking it on into 500 fps territory with a piston weight ....actually quite a bit above but i scaled it back to 495 fps by removing the weight....for the reduced recoil......its smooth..vibration free and virtually silent.. These Walthers have near perfect piston stroke/volume/transfer port parameters ....ruined by the twin mainspring set up... |
