Beside almost 2x a price difference between the two models, is there any major difference in accuracy or manufacturing precision, reliability?
92A1 shoots bb, semi auto and full auto (could be fun first couple times shooting full auto but believe that could fade quickly)
92FS shoot same cal pellets, semi auto
What other strong alternative I can consider?

I have the FS and plan to buy a A1 and keep both two together~

Actually shooting pellet is completely different from shooting BB for the gun design on these two. And the purpose of these 2 guns IMO are completely different too~

And I think the price difference (about $100, not twice that much~) is the FS is German made and come with a plastic case?? ^_^

The FS is super heavy and beautifully built. A bit big to me, but very comfortable while holding it in hand.

So far I don't have a chance to touch the A1 yet, but from the reviews, YouTube, etc, I believe it's the same super high quality air gun too. And the "Happy Button" will be a very nice bonus for the full metal blow back replica.

= = =
Maybe I can express from the other way:

For the FS, you don't have the blow back, you don't have the feel and function as a replica firearm, you don't have the drop out like real mag, you don't have the underside rail, you need to re-load after every 8 shoots...of course, you don't have the full auto fun~

For the A1, you don't have the accuracy from the rifled barrel and pellets, you don't have the hitting power and muzzle velocity as the FS and you don't have the case~

And. ....to my experience so far as a newbie in air gun, I think for the replica air pistols, keep a BB version would be more worth the money, as I think while you are buying a replica, more closer as the real firearm will be better right ? But a pellet replica pistol (not include the revolvers) will never shoot like the firearm it replicated... in the other hand, a BB replica will usually keep everything so well in the replica ~

And if you are going for accurate shooting fun, a cheaper full metal ([emoji16]) 1377 will give you unbeatable accuracy where you can't find from a replica pistol, if you need more power, 2240/1322 will be better choice too ~

Nice and clear ~

And the FS should be good for 20 to 30 yard Shooting. But the BB A1 can't shoot that far, but should be very good within 10 yard range...

I am just a click away to order, either one, and just one, can't go both, or just don't want both...hm trying to convince myself...
From the shooting target and next step competing aspects I am pretty far away, in a close proximity where I live no airgun clubs to socialize at first, but several pistol and powdergun clubs (with a significant membership fees) and an archery range (where I am a member for more then ten years).
So, pretty much comes to a point shooting in the basement and maybe sometimes going to a forest (but not to trails where people wonder around)...
Hm, not easy to decide,
But that full auto and the blowback is really tickling my interest...only the accuracy I feel 10 meters a bit short - for a hundred bucks at least double distance...
and, btw I just finished my bolt action QB78 upgrades to hpa so for the next toy I would like some semi or full auto.

If you already got the QB78 bolt action, you got the power and accuracy already. To me, I think I will get something different, like the blow back and full auto.... didn't I mention the the blow back will hold the slide in open position if you shot out the last BB in the mag just like the real thing ?! [emoji16]

But I can see you have higher expectation on your next toy ... so I need to share sth I was told from the info sources ... many ppl found the A1 has accuracy problem due to the non adjustable sights. But if you have a laser to put on the underside rail , it won't be a problem anymore (that's what I will do if I got one as I don't want to modify the sights by file it , glue it , repaint it etc ...)

But for long range accuracy, steel BB is the major problem... just like you can't prevent the fliers....

I see airgundepot is selling the gun in 13% off (149 to 129), and you buy more than 3 together, you can save extra 20 per gun (109 then )... but my math is poor, I don't know if it worth to get this deal from the States and make a group buying to ship them to Canada....

Why not get the BB version right now, the two guns You're considering are of Totally different designs, the Pellet is worth more due to German
manufacturing and precision, and is actually a revolver type feed, but later You could consider one of it's brothers like the Walther 88 or 99,
Desert Eagle, H&K, 1911 Government!
If I were in Your position, I would give serious consideration to the new Sig 320 or Umarex SA10, both 'blowback' Pellet guns?
And Yes I do own All guns mentioned.

I don't have a SIG 320, but I got a 250. It's comfortable and hard blow back plus good power. But when comparing the SIG 250 and the 92-FS, the much thicker metal slide and the heavy metal feel when the metal hitting each other on the UX M92-FS is better than the SIG...

I have a question for a long time already:

is the non-metal DE really worth its price tag?

I DO believe so!
The Desert Eagle has a Plastic frame as does the Real Glocks have the same type of plastic, the Innards of the DE is All Metal, a hefty gun!
The Desert Eagle along with My S&W 686 are my favourite C02 shooters
