Expected and unexpected well made!

The first impression is BIG ~ what a big gun! Holding it let me think about the Robotcop ~ however I don't think I can spin this gun like that ~

The second impression is so tough this gun feels. The slide, lower part, all metal give me the same very soild feels. I believed it can last for generations as it mentioned. Then, I tried some times to release the fake hamner lock. Didn't expected it need that force to open (I thought is this seized?!)

Wiped off the excess oil and grease all over, used some cleaning pellets with my bamboo stick to clean the barrel, then tried a few shots.

Unexpectedly easy to cock the gun. According to its power, I thought I could need more effort to cock it. And it's good to know it has the 2 stages power adjustment. It's said the .22 only have one power setting, but actually I can lock the spring on low power spot. But I think it may need to spend some time to get use to the POI changs due to the two power settings...

Trigger!! So sweet it is. Can't say anything more on this ~

And, Never shoot a new springer. The dieseling just makes it feel like a real steel. And the smell of the wood grips just added some bonus on this wonderful air gun I ever have!!

As instructed, I will Moly treat the gun tonight and sight it in. And ~ can't wait for the weekend coming to have some good time with it!!ImageImage

Just took a few minutes to make some other shots ( I already feel the addicting of the gun now! )... It looks shots a little bit low, turned two rounds of the rear sight and still little bit low. I thought with the diseling, it should shoot higher than expected....

Don't want to do it too rush ~ leave it tonight and will take more pictures to share ~

Ive tuned and serviced this gun for fellow club goers and friends for best part of 20 years...
If want any advice let me know ...
but the first thing to do is to stop it smoking like that ...
Clean it out....then do it again...then turn the guide rod around ....it will transform the gun into a higher level of accuracy and smoothness...
Pellet choice needs to be JSB Excell or Airarms Express ...Avoid Crosman Premier or Superdomes ...The JSB proved fairly conclusively to give the best accuracy and penetration through household tin cans....or small vermin if your of mind.
Scoping or red dot sighting quite forward on the ramp kills recoil and leaves more room for the hand....
The larger caliber is sweeter, with less secondary recoil.....provided you dont go too heavy or tight with the pellets...hence no Superdomes...
A top hat spring centraliser also works wonders but the top hat rim needs to be kept very slim.
Or removal of a coil off the mainspring is required ...and recommended,...i lost one coil and put in a decent top hat with a rim of 4 mm for strength

I got the normal version as I find my hands like the TW 1911 handle...

And I have more choices on the grip panels if I want to make some changes... Actually I already got one pair of the grips from Russia ~

Regarding the new springer's diseling... For the HW45 how can I do?

Don't know how to disassemble the gun and have no confidence to do so... How to clean it out?

And suggestions?

I think you will have a hard time putting it down

I was able to find these for $16 a couple years ago.
Pearce grips.
Search and you will find that price again
