Post subject:  Scope for a PAL rated springer. Need advice

Hey guys. I'm thinking about a scope. Here are my questions/ concerns;

-Can I use any scope, or does it have to be specific for springers?
-I would like a scope that has built-in yardage increments in the optic.
-Is there a good one available that comes with a good anti-slip mount?

AND,.....

I'm on a tight budget, (I know, I know....lol). I don't want junk though. Does such a scope even exist for around $100 or am I out to lunch?

Thanks for the input...

It looks you need to skip your lunch for many time to save more money for this kind of scope....

I don't have any magnum PAL springer, but to my experience on my Hatsan mod 25 springer pistol, I learned a set of good scope mount is very important for scopes / dots / etc on a springer... And that would already costed you half of your budget..... And beside this, you will need a good scope on the side though... Maybe an entry level Hawke Airmax line?!

There has been much written here on the Topic.

It might be useful to inform on what airgun (springer) rifle you have and intend to mount a scope. Also the proper type of mounts (rings) you need to consider that apply to the recoil effects of a springer.
Good luck.

I heard Nikkon Sterling Mount Master are suppose to be PAL rated. But Im not 100% sure. But the one I got is 3-9x40 AO came with mounts. Was around 100$. Quality isn't bad.

Do yourself, you gun, and DEFINITELY your scopes a favour and get Dampa mounts .. SportsMatch Dampa mounts. I have one on my Magnum Springer. Also have one for sale on here.
If you would like new: https://www.airgunsource.ca/en/search/sportsmatch/
Google for reviews YouTube should be helpful too ...although now a days you never know.

On mine the rings would stay tight but creep backwards on the rail, the rings dont have a pin stop in it but after seeing how bad it crept (50 shots and scope was about to fall off) and some other online pics showing mangled hole were the pin would be, I decided to keep the same ring and add one of those;

so far problem solved (18 fpe springer)

Hawke scope and definitely Sportsmatch mounts. Also worth getting a Fat Wrench screwdriver or you can still mess up. Lots of lunch money to save as YepYep said...

I just bought two 3x9x40 AO with target knobs by Stoeger. Parallax down to 10 meters. Both have been riding pal rated springers in one piece mounts with no problems. $80 each w/o rings Airgun rated stamped on the scope. I bought mine from GMK Armoury Specialities in Thunder Bay.
