I recently acquired this rifle and have tried some 4.52 size JSB pellets. The Exact RS( 7.33g) and Exact Express (7.87g )did not do well. The Exact (8.44g ) is very good. All shooting at 25 feet indoors with 3 pumps. Are there any current opinions of other domed pellets will would excel for accuracy?
I also wonder if sizes 4.50, 4.51 makes much difference.

I shoot 7.0g Hobby's. Never found a pellet that make the gun shoot to my satisfaction with no fliers. Been working on it for the past year whenever a thread gets me interested in shooting rifle again. Best thing I did last time that made the biggest improvement was a scope rail riser 3/4 of an inch. I got a tactical scope with the base mounted on the scope. Happy clack clack clacking! Don't use the stock for pumping. Only hold the hand grip to pump.

In terms of dome pellets, my M4-177 preferred the RWS Superdomes. The JSB Diabolo 8.44gr came in 2nd. None of these domed pellets can match the accuracy I attain with the RWS R10 Match pellets @7.0gr.

While it is tempting to try recommended pellets such as the RWS R10, the price of these shipped from online dealers is out of my price range. Even to buy one tin as a trial would be over $20 tax/ shipping--to shoot in a Crosman?
I almost always buy from the CAF store for best price on JSBs. Tax in plus shipping. Dan does not stock the R10

Airgunsource has an ongoing pellet deal but with all calculations -not so favourable.

Mine likes the standard .177 test pellet for me- the 8.2 gr rws Meister.

3 pumps on a stock M4 may be not enough to blow the skirts out to bore diameter on most pellets.
I took the bbl out of mine and put it on a 760, which seems to be a much more stable platform-especially for pumping...

I did not have much accuracy concerns with any pellet, while the bbl was still on the M-4. It was very accurate at 8 pumps.
