Anyone know where to get air tanks refilled in the Red Deer area?

Can’t speak directly but in Calgary I called a few safety supply places that fill SCBA tanks etc. He fills my 4500psi tank at a reduced rate as he is only topping up from 3000psi

Thanks Battscrew, I called the local Valen Safety Shop & they refilled it for me! I'll have to have a chat with them about their pricing tho...$45 for a refill seems a bit steep to me.

Ouch! You're right. That's not even close to a fair market price. Virtually every paintball operation has a 4500 psi compressor, but not all of the staff are allowed to operate it. Same with scuba operations (notwithstanding the fact that land-locked Alberta is not really overstocked with scuba shops - I know of one in Edmonton). What I've found is that a 4500 fill/top-up can be just as cheap as the $5-$15 3000psi fill as long as (a) you check ahead to make sure the authorized HP person is on the scene when you want to get your fill, and (b) you're understanding of the fact that a 4500 psi fill requires more fill breaks to acquire a true maximum fill. If you're just dropping in for a HP fill, more often than not you'll hear, "We can only fill to 3000."

I'm wondering since it was a new to them tank, that they did some sort of inspection? Or fill it with Oxygen?

Also what size tank it was 48/3000/4500 68/3000/4500 SCBA?, SCUBA?

It's a 74 cf 4500 psi carbon fibre tank that I bought from Airgun Source Canada

My first fill was full price. They need to purge and fill then sign off. About $15 for a top, off.
