Has anyone come a cross it before that some screws are a tad bigger then others? What I mean is the 8-32 socket cap screws I bought from Bolts Plus up the road are little bigger then others.....kind of &^%$ off. When I was installing the Marauder trigger on to the Disco tube, the 8-32 screws I was using from this store were screwing in I thought they were just snug. i took it back out and screwed it in again and when It was suppose to be tightening was just spinning now. Took it back out and put a fresh one in and it was fine,(one time screw in lol). i tried the screw other places on the tube and noticed they were only going in a little then stopping. Meaning to big but they are a 8-32 the same as Crosmans. When had put them on the Marauder trigger they fit little to snug and i think now the holes for the trigger on the tube is now stripped!!

Went back to this store and showed the guy, he went and checked and some were to tight and some fine. I ended up getting a bunch of the ones that were fine now. But now the trigger holes on the tube are stripped. I might have to get a new tube now because of these screws being bad!

This is just an observation and needed to vent this. I'm having a hell of a time with screws lately lol

Have you tried running a tap thru it? And why not just tap to the next size up?

No I haven't, I've never taped something so small. One up 10-32

I used Unbrako shcs. They are pretty much the industry standard and are rated for strength.

You may be able to get a metric size that is not as beefy as 10 x 32, and still have enough meat left to cut new threads. The pocket ref book from Lee Valley is indispensable for solving problems such as these. You will have to invest in a new tap....
